There’s no comparison. Minimalist design can be only so minimalist before it starves to a sad, pitiful, weak little end. And that’s what Apple’s iPod HiFi does, in my opinion.

The stand is just amazing … I have a wonderful Harman Kardon system with Bose speakers, but I’m smacking my lips just thinking about it.
It’s the whole package that makes the Geneva system so much more compelling to me. iPods, CDs, radio: everything I might want to listen to. Apple’s iPod HiFi just isn’t a big enough solution … maybe it’s just too simple.

Have you listened to the Apple HiFi in a room in your home?
I have Bose speakers on my home stereo as well. I know good sound when I hear it. Let me tell you my Apple HiFi sounds great with 192 kbps AAC’s.
Don’t judge a speaker system by it’s looks. Listen to the setup in a real room.
HiFi thumbs down! Thumbs up are the Majestic Diamonds. Recommended by an innovator friend of mine from Italy. Check out TBI Audio Systems (tbisound.com). Unbelievable sound, in fact, they have created high-definition sound (HDSS). You will be seeing it everywhere is my guess. The Diamonds are small, sleek,separate boxes that are truly amazing

these manufacturas and stores all try and brainwash buyers into thinking that they need specal speakers to play music from a MP3 player
i built myself a top quality pair of speakers for my room each feturing 12 inch woofers, 6inch mids, and 1 inch dome tweeters.
now if i want to connect my mp3 player all i have to do is go to a electrical store and buy a jack to phono (rca) lead for about £3
i assure you it beats any ipod sound system,
so basicly the point is,
SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY AND BUY A JACK TO PHONO LEAD AND JUST PLAY YOUR IPOD THREW YOUR HIFI/AMP AND SPEAKERS

I’ve done the same. And the I got an HK bridge to patch my iPod into my Harmon Kardon.
The deal is: plugging in charges the iPod … so you don’t have to ever take it out and charge it up. That’s important when basically the iPod lives in the system.
