Porch Piracy: 49% Of Americans Fear Package Theft; 18% Know A Victim

Today is the age of delivery. UPS alone will deliver more than 30 million packages this holiday season, and they’ll be hiring 100,000 temps to help pull it off.

Most of those packages will be placed on our doorsteps awaiting our return.

And that means porch piracy is now a thing.

According to a new survey of 1,238 American adults, basically half are worried about their packages being stolen, spoiling the holidays. (And, perhaps, resulting in a missing gift for Christmas.) It’s not surprising that half of us are worried about porch pirates: 18% say they know someone who had a package stolen off their porch.
