I’m in Orlando, Florida for some client meetings and the Florida Educational Technology Conference, or FETC for short.
Nice weather, not bad at all.
The night I arrived at the hotel (January 25) the moon was enormous; I had to take a shot. Of course, being tripodless, and since the camera required a longish exposure, the result was predictable.
Orlando has two moons!
That blue tower to the left of the moon is Sea World’s space needle or zero-G or scarinator (or whatever it’s called) ride.
I took a couple shots that were not so jaggy by leaning the camera on a deck chair, but actually I like this one better. In the others, the moon is overexposed anyways, as the camera is straining to grab some detail from the surroundings.
