My latest at Forbes: Agibot’s wheeled G2 humanoid robots are now working on actual live tablet computer production lines alongside human workers. Not a test, not a demo. A real job on a high-speed electronics manufacturing floor.
The company is calling it “the world’s first large-scale industrial implementation of embodied AI systems within core production workflows in consumer electronics manufacturing,” and that claim seems to hold up.
Humanoid robots have been getting jobs for a while now. Agility Robotics’ Digit was first in a warehouse context back in late 2024. But consumer electronics manufacturing is a genuinely high-precision, high-speed environment, and this is new territory. The Agibot G2 is wheeled rather than bipedal, which helps with stability and load-bearing, but the dexterity required for electronics assembly is no small thing. Worth watching how quickly this scales.
