This $40,500 Humanoid Robot Is A Beast: Might Be Strongest On The Planet

Just posted to my Forbes column about a humanoid robot that feels less like a prototype and more like something straight out of a sci-fi movie … except you can actually buy it today.

The piece looks at EngineAI’s T800 humanoid robot, a $40,500 machine that may be the strongest humanoid robot currently on the planet. It kicks, punches, jumps, runs, and moves with startling power and agility, earning it an inevitable comparison to the Terminator. With massive joint torque, advanced sensors, hot-swappable batteries, and serious onboard compute, the spec sheet is wild, especially at a price that’s surprisingly approachable by industrial standards.

I also dig into what really matters: whether a robot this good at fighting and athletic demos can translate into real-world work.

The T800 is already being pitched as retail staff in what EngineAI calls the first “cyber staff” store, but it’s still an open question how well all that strength and flash converts into logistics, delivery, or factory labor. Impressive? Absolutely.

Proven as a worker? Not yet.
