Apple announced this morning that it has launched two new “radio” stations on Apple Music: Apple Music Hits, and Apple Music Country.
Hits will feature “everyone’s favorite songs from the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s,” while Country will, unsurprisingly, feature country music. Both will be almost literally dripping with stars who will feature in both the launch and ongoing regular shows on the stations, including Elton John, Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, Carrie Underwood, Lady Gaga, Shania Twain, the Backstreet Boys, Huey Lewis, and Alanis Morisette.
In addition, Apple said that Beats 1, which has been Apple’s main global radio station, will rebrand as Apple Music 1.
